ta barette mémoire est-elle correctement enfichée
n'est-elle pas défectueuse

il arrive sur ce type d'iMac que la géométrie soit légèrement différente au bout de qques minutes d'utilisation.
J'avais le pbm sur mon DV400. Quand je réglais la géométrie à froid, après redémarrage, je devais régler à nouveau l'écran.
sur mon iMac, la solution était d'attendre 15mn environ avant de régler la géométrie.
Lorsqu'on le redémarre à froid, la géométrie est alors à nouveau complétement déformée, puis ça se reprend forme au bout de qques minutes... ça semble surréaliste, mais c'était comme ça

As mentioned, in previous discussions on this board, I have experienced some problems with the geometry settings holding on my eMac. Mostly my problems have been with the "rotational" settings not holding once set.
Well.... for the last month or so, I am a little happier with my geometry settings taking a better hold. My geometry setting "rotation" is off clockwise by less than 1/8" when I first start up in the mornings, but I notice that within fifteen to twenty minutes of warming up, that the "rotation" very slowly comes around counter clockwise and "locks" into my preset "custom" display settings for the remainder of the time my Mac is on for the day.
About a month ago I installed the new OS 10.2.4 which I want to believe, has made a slight difference to keeping the display geometry settings to hold better. Every few weeks or so, I think I may also get in the routine habit of performing the following if the display settings need "maintannce":
1. Routinely zapping the "PRAM"
2. Followed by re setting the "Firmware NVRAM" default settings
3. Followed then by opening the OS X System Preference Pane and clicking on "Display".
I would run through ALL FIVE display resolution settings and "click" default in the
geometry "tab" of ALL FIVE display resolutions.
4. Once this is done, I go back to my preferred display setting, (1024 x 768 in my
case) and "click" on the geometry "tab" and reset any settings that needed to be
corrected from the default settings. Usually this would consist of about 10 clicks on
the vertical settings to open the screen to fit just inside the "black" inside screen frame.
Then about 10 clicks to open the horizontal setting to also just fit inside the "black"
screen frame. Finally, the only other thing my eMac needed was to bring the "rotation"
around counter clockwise by "clicking" 7 times on the rotation button. (One way of
setting the "rotation so you know you're straight across on the screen is to temporarily
raise the top bar with the "position" button to just under the top "black" screen frame.
This way you can see how much rotation it takes to get the screen straight across....
once set to your preference, then lower the whole screen to fit inside the "black" screen
frame once again),
5. Once all my geometry settings were set, I then go back to the main display tab and
check these setting in both "million" and "thousands" to make sure they both are set the
same. One that is done and I'm not sure what this exactly does but I do it any ways, is
to click on "detect displays" for both my new "million" and "thousands" geometry
settings.
All this said, the only problem I have is the geometry "rotation" setting being off very slightly when started "cold" in the morning..... which as I stated.... then comes around counter clockwise in about fifteen minutes after warn up.
For now I can live with this "warm up" of the display during start up, rather than having to take it in and start dealing with display replacements.... and maybe ending up with even worse problems.
